Brazilian Steakhouses in Dallas That Are Upping the Meat Game

Go forth, and eat your weight in meat

SHARE

Few things can top the simplicity of a good Brazilian steakhouse. Most follow a similar formula: Grab some greens at the salad bar, and let the servers pile on the meats. Meats are prepared churrasco style, typically presented on skewers rotating over a fire, which helps maintain heat and flavor. Dropping a signal for when you want more meat is an added perk, and makes the experience a truly indulgent one.

Save plenty of room, because we’ve rounded up some of the best Brazilian steakhouses in North Texas—gaucho style!

Brasão Brazilian Steakhouse

Combining Brazilian flavors with Southern hospitality, Brasão is a dream destination for the ultimate Texas carnivore. Guests can enjoy a variety of traditional Brazilian meats, including the picanha, which is the top sirloin portion of the cow. Japanese wagyu is also on the menu, and guests can pair their meats with one of more than 200 wines. Multiple locations, brasaousa.com

Casa Pollastro

While guests can pick and choose their dishes at Casa Pollastro, the prix-fixe dinner is worth considering. Not only does the restaurant feature the Brazilian steakhouse usuals, like lamb chop and picanha, but it serves up a selection of pasta dishes with housemade noodles. Each prix-fixe dinner includes a first course like bread or soup,  a salad, a choice of galeto or steak, a pasta dish, and a dessert. You’re going to want to try the Brazilian flan. 18160 Dallas Pkwy., Dallas, casapollastro.com

Chama Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse

You’ll never have the same meal twice at Chama Gaúcha. The steaks and lamb chops are never short of flavor, and even lighter options like the franco, grilled chicken wrapped in bacon, are seasoned to perfection. Sides like Chama Gaúcha’s garlic mashed potatoes and fried polenta are rich complements to the meat. For dessert, try the fireball cheesecake, which is a headturner in its own right. 4025 William D Tate Ave., Grapevine, chamagaucha.com

Espadas Brazilian Steakhouse Restaurant

Espadas offers a cozy, neighborhood-style setting where guests can relax and keep their focus on the meat. Bottom sirloin with a side of roasted pineapple creates a lovely balance of sweet and spicy, and the papaya cream for dessert is heavenly. 1200 East Davis Ste. #116, Mesquite, espadasdfw.com

Fazenda Gaúcha

Fazenda Gaúcha is perhaps the most “Texan” Brazilian steakhouse in Dallas-Fort Worth, featuring proteins like picancha, filet mignon, and the Costela de Porco, a hearty plate of pork ribs. Pair with Fazenda Gaúcha’s signature Texas Caipirinha, a southern twist on the classic Brazilian cocktail crafted with cachaça salinas, fresh lime, and cane sugar. 405 E. Pipeline Rd., Bedford, fazendagaucha.com

Fogo De Chao

This national chain that originated in Dallas is among the most luxurious and well-recognized of the bunch, with guests often arriving dressed to the nines. Fogo De Chao boasts a robust menu of meats, including specialties like wagyu ancho, dry-aged tomahawk ancho, and wagyu porterhouse. The sides are just as exciting. Get a little surf and turf action by trying a side of lobster mashed potatoes or oscar crab asparagus. 2619 McKinney Ave. #150, Dallas, fogodechao.com

Texas de Brazil

For nearly three decades, Texas de Brazil has served as a staple among North Texans. As its name suggests, Texas de Brazil fuses two cultures together, and merges both Southern and Brazilian classics. The lobster bisque and the sauteed mushrooms are fantastic precursors to a meal, while the barbecue chicken drumsticks and Parmesan pork will more than satisfy your meat cravings. 2727 Cedar Springs Rd., Dallas, texasdebrazil.com

TG Steakhouse

There is no shortage of belly-filling meats at TG Steakhouse, but the Toscana sausage and beef ribs are major standouts among them. Despite it being called a steakhouse, the restaurant offers a casual atmosphere, suitable for gathering with big groups. 518 W Arapaho Rd #133, Richardson, tgsteakhouse.com

12 Cuts Brazilian Steakhouse

Founded by husband-and-wife team Juarez DeConto and Alda Boiani, 12 Cuts offers a fine selection of Brazilian and Argentine meats, alongside a bountiful salad bar. In the churrascaria rotation are traditional items like steak and sausage, but also guest favorites like cordeiro and the bife de chorizo. Caramelized bananas, served alongside the meats at every meal, offer sweet flavor alongside the savory meat. And, save room for dessert, because the chocolate mousse cake is next level. 18010 Dallas Pkwy., Dallas, 12cutssteakhouse.com

Villas Grill Brazilian Steakhouse

Villas Grill operates with an all-you-can-eat format, but the restaurant also lets guests order to-go plates at a discounted rate. The beef plate with picanha and the top sirloin plate with rice and black beans makes for a great protein-packed platter. For a lighter option, try the chicken plate with rice. Either way, definitely don’t leave without trying the passion fruit mousse. 12817 Preston Rd., Unit 425, Dallas, villasgrill.net
